MoSound Events Sells at W T O Summit
Nairobi, Kenya hosted the 10th World Trade Organisation Summit, which was being held in Africa for the first time. The auspicious event was attended by ministers from over 160 countries as well as Presidents Uhuru Kenyatta and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia. Having had experience in handling global events, MoSound Events was once again honoured to be the official technical and audio-visual supplier.
The landmark occasion began with a dinner on Tuesday. Summit meetings would commence on Wednesday and go through to Saturday.
Our specialists set up the stage, provided screens, rigged sound and lighting at the main summit area as well as three breakout rooms. A pro-floor was also provided for the dinner area.
The dynamics of the occasion required that we be on call round the clock since the main meeting hall set up had to be changed at daily intervals, to best suit the program. Part of our technical team would tear down and set up the new designs at night so that everything was set by morning.
“This year has seen MoSound Events increasingly get global opportunities to demonstrate our values including flexibility, creativity, teamwork and excellence,” says Peter Withaka, MoSound Events Technical General Manager. “We saw the same qualities come into play during the WTO summit, and I am happy to report that once again- we delivered!”
